CHELYABINSK FORGE TO MAKE 2,000 T OF STAMPINGS FOR PIPELINES

Chelyabinsk Forge, a major automobile component producer, plans to make about 2,000 tonnes of stampings for pipeline parts in 2006, general director Andrei Gartung told Interfax on August 22. These stampings are a new product for the plant, he said. In the summer the plant began making more than 80 types of stampings for pipeline parts, including flanges and end-caps.
