Alrosa's RAS net profit soars 270% to 24 bln rubles in Jan-Sept

Alrosa, the Russian diamond mining giant, increased unconsolidated net profit to Russian Accounting Standards by 270% year-on-year to 23.883 billion rubles in the first nine months of 2011, the company said in its quarterly report. Revenue grew 17.7% to 88.818 billion rubles, while cost of sales shrank by 11%.
