YAKUTSK. (Interfax) - The starting price for Yakutia's stakes in coal companies Yakutugol and El-gaugol, which will be offered at an auction this summer, will be 1.8 billion dollars, Yyacheslav Shtyrov, the internal Russian republic's president, told reporters on June 22. This is a preliminary figure, Shtyrov said. Russian Economic Development and Trade Minister German Gref said the auction could be announced before the end of June. He said the winner would have to undertake to finish building a rail track to Yakutsk. "I hope the auction will be announced by the end of June," Gref said.
