MGOK, LGOK IRON ORE PRODUCERS HAND REINS OVER TO METALLOINVEST

Shareholders in Mikhailovsky GOK (MGOK), a major iron ore producer from Russia's Kursk region, and Lebedinsky GOK, a major iron ore producer from the Belgorod region, voted at their annual meetings on june 30 to hand sole executive authority to the Metalloinvest Management Company for a period of three years, the companies said in official July 6 statements. MGOK said that its AGM elected a board of 11 directors: Maxim Basov, the general director of the Metalloinvest holding, Andrei Varichev, the general director of MGOK, Maxim Gubiyev, Tatyana Dubrovskaya, Alexei Zverev, Sergei Kretov, Boris Malyavin, Konstantin Ryzhkov, Sergei Shuvalov and Nazim Efendiyev, who is general director of Urals Steel.
