RUSSIA BOOSTS METALS OUTPUT IN MID-FEB--SOURCE

Russia -boosted ferrous metals output 12.6 percent in the second ten days of February compared with the first ten days of last month to 1.3 million tonnes, an industry source told Interfax. Nonferrous metals production jumped 43.8 percent to 21.181 tonnes, the source said. Steel pipe production grew 24.8 percent to 178,900 tonnes and coking coal output rose 20.6 percent to 1.392 million tonnes. Bank of Moscow analysts said in a research note.
