RUSSIAN GOVT REDUCES NICKEL EXPORT DUTY TO ZERO

Russia has reduced the export duty on unalloyed nickel and copper cathodes to zero under a government resolution signed by Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, the Cabinet's press service told journalists on January 21. The new duties are: refined copper, raw copper alloys - 10 percent ; cathodes and cathode sections - 0 percent ; and unalloyed nickel - 0 percent . The changes take effect seven days after their official publication.
