UZBEKISTAN EXTENDS TENDERS ON 27 ENTERPRISES TO JAN 29

Uzbekistan's State Property Committee (SPC) has extended until January 29 tenders on sale to foreign investors of share stakes in 27 enterprises, the SPC said in a statement reported by local media. The tenders were extended due to the dearth of competitive bids received so far, an SPC representative told Interfax. The tenders are on stakes ranging from 14.2 percent to 100 percent of equity. The starting prices total 178.2 million dollars.
