POLYMETAL ACQUIRES MAGADAN REGION GOLD-SILVER LICENSE

Omolon Gold Mining Company, a subsidiary of Polymetal, Russia's biggest silver producer and a major gold producer, has won an auction for exploration and mining rights to the Burgali gold-silver property in the Magadan region, Polymetal said in a January 20 statement. The subsidiary bid 7.7 million rubles fir the 25-year license at the January 20 auction.
