TMK PLACES 200 MILLION dollars IN THREE-YEAR LPN, SHIPS 9 percent LESS PIPE IN H1

Russian pipe maker TMK has placed 200 million dollars in three-year loan participation notes (LPN) with the first coupon rate totaling an annual 10 percent , a source in banking circles told Interfax on July 23. On July 18 TMK placed 400 million dollars in three-year Eurobonds at 10 percent annually. Barclays, UBS, ING and ABN AMRO arranged the placement. TMK shipped 1.495 million tonnes of pipe in the first half of 2008, 5 percent less than in the same period last year, the company said in a July 18 statement.
