The Society has always placed great emphasis on ensuring the safety of members on field expeditions and insists that appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times (see, for example, the introduction to the Field Trips insert elsewhere in this issue). All members are expected to be aware of the Society's safety policy and the various health and safety documents on the Society's website.
