Parallel processing and artificial retinas

摘要

The paper discusses neural PLCs nets implementing associative cellular procedures and stochastic procedures based an random sampling, in addition to classical data processing techniques. The high degree of parallelism makes these networks veryefficient. Electronic and optical components can be tightly integrated in same parallel processing systems, to develop VLSIO components that combine photosensing and data processing capabilities within the artificial retina.
