The Meteor automatic train operating system

摘要

The automatic train operating system at the heart of the fully automated Meteor metro system controls all aspects of passenger safety, train timing and the reliable operation of the line. The automatic train operating system consists of a central controller and systems for traction control, automatic signalling, audio-visual passenger communication and monitoring, and platform edge barrier control. The design and implementation of the automatic train operating system was based on a rigorous risk assessment and management procedure. All the control systems are monitored by a central safety processor and the software was developed and checked using Method B protocols.
