Russia boosted steel pipe production 38.5% year-on-year in the seven months to 5.014 million tonnes as demand from the oil and gas industry soared, although output fell 1.4% in July compared with June this year, the Russian Economic Development Ministry says in materials. In the seven months, pipe output doubled to 565,700 tonnes at the Volzhsky Pipe Mill, 25.2% to 4095,700 tonnes at Tagmet, 13.9% to 381,100 tonnes at Seversky Tube Works and 3.2% to 296,400 tonnes at Sinara Tube Works (RTS; SNTZ), all of which are part of the TMK holding.
