Ferrexpo reduces iron ore pellet output 2% in H1

Ferrexpo pic reduced iron ore pellet output 2.1% year-on-year in H1 2011 to 4.785 million tonnes, the company, whose main asset is Ukrainian iron ore producer Poltava Mining, said in a statement. Crude iron ore production edged down 0.03% to 14.198 million tonnes. Pellet production from internally produced feedstock fell 1.1% to 4.394 million tonnes, including 2.255 million tonnes with 62% Fe-content, down 5.4%; but 2.139 million tonnes with 65% Fe, up 4%.
