Interfax-Kazakhstan - Kazakhaltyn has performed blasting operations at its mine near the village of Bestobe in the Akmola Region, where the local residents staged a protest last week against blasting works at the mine. Last week the company blasted several tonnes of ammonia nitrate in 146 boreholes, Nurlan Sa-rinzhipov, the director of the Bestobe mine told Interfax-Kazakhstan.
