Ukrainian iron ore miners reduce output in 2009

Most Ukrainian mining companies reduced iron ore production significantly in 2009, however some majors posted increases. Poltava Mining, the core asset of the London-listed Ferrexpo plc, cut commercial pellet production tentatively 3% to 8.767 million tonnes, including 772,500 tonnes in December, the company said in a press release.
