This year we had two pre arranged visits whilst the rest of the time was spent looking for sites for visits in thefuture. It has been said that this quarry has not been very productive over the past couple of years, however as we have not been there for some time, we decided to give it the once over. The usual band of members turned up mid morning Friday and consisted of Harry and Christine Critchley, Jill Goltz, Ron Gibbins, John Davidson, Keith and Anne Snell and our field leader Ian Dossett. After paying our entrance fee and getting some useful hints from the quarry staff on where to look, we made our way down to the bottom, bench by bench. We reached the bottom around mid day without finding anything exciting, only a few pieces of green which may have been arthurite and some scorodite.
