Yogi Berra is famous for having said, "when faced with a fork in the road, take it." Some of the best advice I ever received was to always take the high road when there is a decision to be made. I associate this advice most with Dr. Robert Cefalo, formerly of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and an honored Fellow who died in 2008. It was a recurring part of Bob's conversations with me over many years. He would always ask: "Okay, Jim, what do you consider to be the high road to take in this matter?," and that's how I learned which fork to take. Dr. Cefalo's advice and high standards continue to serve all of us well regardless of where we are on that road - those of you who are just beginning your careers and those of you who have sought to provide quality health care to women for decades.
