摘要

This article presents the results of drawing and concurrent elongating flow forming of drawpieces made of technically pure copper. Hardness results indicate that flow forming technology is an unrivalled method of working drawpieces that makes it possible to elongate side walls without inter-operational softening heat treatment. Flowforming, in contrast to other methods of side wall elongation, does not cause a significant increase in wall hardness (increase in strengthening), thanks to which further forming operations are possible, after the flow forming process.
