摘要

In the frequency band of 20 to 40 GHz, interaction between SHF radiation and a magnetic liquid that occupies the entire volume of a waveguide and is confined by a dielectric insert has been studied. There is a dependence between positions of alternating interference maxima and minima of the reflectivity of SHF radiation on one side and the intensity of applied magnetic field, and this dependence is controlled by changes in the complex magnetic permeability of the liquid. The paper describes a solution of the inverse problem, which yields parameters of the magnetic liquid, namely, the diameter of magnetic particles and the volume fraction of the solid phase in the magnetic liquid derived from measurements of the reflectivity versus frequency and its derivative.
