摘要

The possibility of using the indication of variation of the direction of superposition of the magnetic field of an object and the magnetic field of an additional source for testing ferromagnetic materials on the basis of the remanent magnetization and determination of the thickness of a nonmagnetic coating of the ferromagnet are analyzed. The applicability limits, the sensitivity, and the optimum conditions of using the technique are established. Underlying principles of constructing the designed instruments, namely, a BMS-1 nonelectronic magnetic sorting device and a magnetic thickness gauge, are described. Examples of their use for solving practical problems of nondestructive testing are given.
