1. We have developed a method for laboratory determination of the millability that is inexpensive, fast, and makes it possible to predict in the market research stage the behavior of a given bauxite in the production cycle.2. For the gibbsitic bauxites it is advisable to use a high milling temperature, since this makes it possible to utilize the reserve capability such as chemical dispersion of the bauxite.3. When working with the gibbsitic bauxite it is advisable to change from the use of the relatively ineffective hydrocyclones to the arched riddles, which makes it possible to reduce the circulating loads on the mills while obtaining a pulp that is more uniform in composition.
