FLOTATION OF FINE GOLD MINED AT PLACER DEPOSITS OF POLYARNINSKII MINING AND BENEFICIATION INTEGRATED WORKS

The problems of extraction of fine and buoyant gold from placer deposits has recently been a subject of intense discussions (traditional methods of working such deposits fail to capture fine gold particles). Geological surveys usually do not include evaluation of resources of this type of gold. Its losses remain undetermined and unaccounted for.Practical experience shows that half of gold lost during washing is represented by -1 mm particles, while -0.25 mm particles cannot be extracted at all if the traditional sluice technology is used.At the same time, the ability of fine gold particles to float in water indicates the possibility of using flotation to extract gold particles that are usually lost during washing.
