He has absorbed influences like Henry Moore, Alexander Lichtveld, Korean moon jars, and pots from the Jomon, Yayoi, and Kofun eras to make works that celebrate the raw qualities of clay and the challenges of wood firing. These twenty pages, which are the last section of the book, apart from the appendix, along with Yoshiaki Inui's pertinent two-page contribution are the best reasons to buy it.
