摘要

The gear-cutting head (Fig. 1) [1 and 2] that is used for cutting the bevel gears with circular-arc teeth using a separate working scheme consists of the body 3 and the standard cutters 1 and 2. The cutter position is regulated in height (H{sub}1, H{sub}2) and along the radius (r{sub}1 r{sub}2) by the shims 4 and 5. The cutters 1 (of which there are n{sub}1) machine only the root of the teeth, while the cutters 2 (of which there are n{sub}2) machine only the involute part. All the cutters are installed in the body with uniform circumferential pitch and are retained by the screws 6. The positioning of the cutting edges of the inserts 1 and 2, and also the chips that are removed by them, are shown in Fig. 2.
