Serviceability of machine and equipment parts reconditioned and hardened by diffusive metallization

摘要

This paper examines the tribotechnical properties of diffusive carbide and nitride coatings used to recondition and harden precision fuel system parts. It is shown that diffusive metallization increases wear and corrosion resistance and part loading capacity.
