Apollo posts 96% rise in net profit

Apollo Tyres posted 96% rise in net profit at Rs 1.5 billion in the second quarter (July-September) 2012 as against Rs 0.8 billion in the year-ago quarter. Quarterly net sales were up 18% at Rs 33.7 billion (Rs 28.7 billion). Operating profit went up 55% at Rs 3.8 billion (Rs 2.4 billion).
