12th Annual Meeting of UPASI Planters raise concern over rise in input costs

United Planters Association of Southern India (UPASI) has expressed concern over the substantial increase in cost of production, shortage of labour etc affecting the plantation sector. In his presidential address at the 120th meeting of UPASI held at Coonoor, G J Ancheril, outgoing President of UPASI, said higher wage coupled with ever increasing cost of inputs was eroding the foundations of the plantation industry.
