3.4% rise In SR consumption forecast

The International Institute of Synthetic Rubber Producers (IISRP) expects steady rise in global consumption of synthetic rubber. According to the Worldwide Rubber Statistics 2012 published by the IISRP, the world consumption of SR stood at 14.85 million tonnes in 2011, of which SBR (styrene-butadiene rubber) accounted for 4.57 million tonnes, BR (butadiene rubber) 3.09 million tonnes, EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer) 1.10 million tonnes, NBR (nitrile-butadiene rubber) 527,000 tonnes and CR (crude rubber) 354,000 tonnes.
