Approaches to the synthesis of grafted polymer coatings based on methacrylic monomers on the aluminum surface using atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) and reversible addition-fragmentation chain transfer (RAFT) were proposed. Poly(glycidyl methacrylate) was used as an anchor layer for further attaching initiators or agents of pseudoliving radical polymerization by the reaction of their carboxyl groups with epoxy cycles.
