Johns Manville to open 1st TPO roofing plant

DENVER-Building products manufacturer Johns Manville plans to open its first thermoplastic polyolefin roofing membrane plant in Alabama sometime in the second half of 2008.The company is investing 30 million to modify an existing building on a 20-acre parcel in Scottsboro,Ala.,to house TPO roofing capacity,according to Sarah Tholen,manager of marketing communication for Johns Man-ville's Commercial Building products unit.
