摘要

A thermoplastic composite sheet based on TPU film reinforced with continuous carbon fibers has been developed for lightweight load-bearing structures. The orientation of the fiber plies in the thermoplastic composite sheet can be varied from unidirectional to multiaxial, and adapted to the load case. Economical and robust components can be fabricated using a laminate structure consisting of two thin outer layers of TPU composite sheet and a core of continuous glass fiber-reinforced polyamide 6.
