Kunststoffe:Which polymer segments and sites in Europe are you responsible for?Hoven-Nievelstein:The Performance Polymers Division of BASF looks after the engineering plastics business in Europe,South America,Africa und West Asia.We have four product lines:Among those are the Ultramid/Miramid/Capron polyamides and Ultradur PBT.Both products are backwards integrated with-in their value added chain up to the pre-cursors.The Situation in respect of its precursors is less complex for Ultraform polyacetal(POM).We have just com-pleted a plant expansion for the chemical and high temperature resistant polysul-fones which we market under the brand name of Ultrason and in this case also are moving more heavily into the pro-duction of the precursors.
