SLIDING TABLE TECHNIQUE. Injection molders will soon be able to freely define the thickness and geometry of a soft-touch foam layer. The technique is applied in a sliding table mold with two cavities. During the second clamping stroke a defined gap between the surface decor in the stationary mold on one side, and the thermoplastic supporting structure in the moving mold half, on the other, is foamed with TPE or PU.
