Storm Shelter Featured at Emergency Management Association Conference

MIDDLETOWN, OH, USA-A storm shelter complete with a custom interactive display and staircase for easy viewing was one of the most prominent exhibits recently featured at an Emergency Management Association Conference. Attendees were able to get into the storm shelter and experience the process of opening, closing and locking the door. Education regarding tornadoes and tornado shelters is an essential part of preparing the state as a whole for this unending threat. Though the EMS does not endorse any specific tornado shelter, FEMA has set up guidelines for testing the likelihood of a unit to survive an F5 tornado.
