Information methods of human and veterinary medical scientists (HVMS) in Borno State, Nigeria

Human and veterinary medical scientists (HVMS) in Borno State principally use informal methods of obtaining information, as their use of formal ways is hindered by lack of relevant sources. Specifically, both human and veterinary scientists primarily use personal records, discussion with colleagues, and scanning of a wide variety of reading materials, and they often obtain information serendipitously. The findings of this survey lead to suggestions for improvement in information services to HVMS.
