Presentation of results obtained in the case of flat products : influence of tramp elements on casting and rolling behaviour and on product properties ; cases of embrittle-ment. Presentation of results obtained in the case of long products : influence of tramp elements on the production and properties of structural and engineering steels and of wire rod. Consequences for the control of tramp elements in the different product types.
