The quality evaluation of loss adjustment standards in agricultural insurance: a Delphi survey for fruit crops.

摘要

This paper offers a forecast of the drop in prices that damaged sweet fruit suffer. It determines if loss adjustment standards in agricultural insurance are appropriated to real market conditions and, in the other hand, to identify the conditions that can modify the use of damaged fruits. This survey uses the Delphi technique for obtaining subjective information form experts, which comes forward as a valid and reliable option for solving a complex problem. Results confirm this technique as a research tool particularly well suited to exploratory studies.
