Some common features of energy output in scintillators and displacement of atoms in SSNTD tracks

The work shows that any decrease in energy output in scintillators and any displacement of atoms in SSNTD tracks may arise from the same process, namely, capture of a weakly-bound electron of an excited dope atoms on an ion of base material.
