CR-39 monomer was cured isothermally at temperatures from 54.5 to 115 degrees C with UV sensitive photoinitiators to high conversions, The use of photoinitiators allowed the cure of CR-39 isothermally at high temperatures and eliminated the danger of thermal runaway present in the conventionally used thermal initiation with peroxides.
