Many ofus have one thing in common with turkeys during the winter a nasal infection. The cause of our winter blues is often a virus called respiratory syncytial virus (RSV). It hits children hardest. Similarly, it is the young turkeys that are worst affected by a distant relative of RSV, avian rhinotracheitis virus (ARTV).
