Oman Tank Terminal Company (OTTCO) has announced plans to begin operating a floating storage unit later this year to boost trade of crude oil futures on the Dubai Mercantile Exchange (DME). The storage unit will increase monthly trade volumes on the DME by 2mn barrels. It will also help to curb price volatility, according to news site, Reuters.
