Oil’s Changing Landscape: Refiners Gaining Access to Eagle Ford and Bone Springs Crude

The domestic U.S. oil supply picture continues to improveas unconventional drilling and completion techniques yieldnew North American production which is being increasinglydelivered to refineries across the country.Much has been written about existing and planned pipe-line and rail infrastructure that is serving the highly produc-tive unconventional shale oil plays such as the Bakken trendin North Dakota and Montana. Now, Hart Energy is pleased to write about two prototypical rail and pipeline infrastruc-ture projects in two other oil producing areas spurred on byunconventional drilling and completion technologies at theEagle Ford trend in Texas and now also in the Permian Re-gion’s Bone Springs play in the Delaware Basin underlyingNew Mexico and far west Texas.
