Paint stewardship takes effect in Nova Scotia June 1

Halifax, NS - Nova Scotia will implement Atlantic Canada's first post-consumer paint recycling program on June 1. The program will be run by RRFB Nova Scotia (formerly the Resource Recovery Fund Board) and will require all manufacturers and brand owners selling paint in Nova Scotia to register with the RRFB or establish an independent stewardship program of their own.The Nova Scotia program may be the first step toward an integrated stewardship program across all Atlantic provinces.
