Vapor-phase synthesis of ethyl tert-butyl ether o heteropoly acid-polymer composite fillm catalysts

H_3PMo_12O_40-polysulfone and H_3PMo_12O_40-polyphenylene oxide composite film catalysts were prepared by a membrane preparation technique. They showed the higher catalytic activities than H_3PMo_12O_40 in the vapor-phase synthesis of ethyl tert-butyl ether.
