Comparison of hds of dibenzothiophene and hdn of quinoline over supported mo and CoMo nitrided and sulfided catalysts

Catalytic activities of sulfided and nitrided forms of alumina supported molybdenum as well as cobalt-molybdenum catalysts were compared in the reactions of hydrodesulfurization of dibenzothiphene and hydrodenitrogenation of quinoline.Effect of catalyst composition as well as of the method of its activation on the reaction pathways and catalyst selectivity is discussed.
