With the cold and flu season upon us in full force, the ASRT Practice Standards office continues to receive a number of phone calls from medical imaging technologists and radiation therapists asking whether it is in their scope of practice to administer vaccinations. The answer to this question, or any scope of practice question, is easier to determine if you follow the decision tree diagram (see Figure).
