Evaluating resources.

The Writing & Research column in the May/June issue of Radiologic Technology provided an extremely helpful guide to various methods for finding resources for research articles. This issue's column takes that one step further: Now that you have located various resources, either in the library database or on the World Wide Web, how do you determine their credibility?With so much information readily available, it can be a daunting task to review all the research articles and then ascertain whether they are credible and applicable to your intended work. Generally speaking, there are 3 criteria on which to critically evaluate sources: objectivity, applicability and authority.
