Demands on railway track are becoming more and more diverse nowadays, due to higher axle loads, higher travelling speeds, shorter track closures for maintenance work, coupled with an increased density of traffic. In order to achieve the economic goals of the respective railway operator, attention must be paid to the initial quality of every track construction project and to an adequate maintenance strategy. Track maintenance machines of the latest design provide the technical basis to achieve the required quality in the time available. Track maintenance machines must be kept in a perfect condition, whereby the use of original spare and wearing parts is of the greatest importance.
