The Voith Maxima 40 CC six-axle diesel-hydraulic locomotive

Voith Turbo Lokomotivtechnik, Kiel, Germany, a subsidiary of Voith Turbo GmbH & Co. KG, has earlier this year, on 18th January 2006, presented the design of its new six-axle diesel-hydraulic locomotive for heavy freight transport operation: the Voith Maxima 40 CC. An optional train energy supply system allows this locomotive to also be operated for passenger transport services.
